I would think every comment would be spam? Surely a human would have to check every link to see if the following website is relevant? Or am I missing something?

I’ve recently stumbled upon the whole dofollow vs nofollow debate and I’m going to switch my website over to “dofollow”.

I run an Xbox centric website and I want to see what kind of effect a “dofollow” will have on both hits and comments.

I use the do-follow plugin on my main mmo blog, as a kind of experiment really. I want to see how it fares in the serps, even though it leaks a lot of juice.

The simple fact that a website is dofollow draws people to it. You post something somewhere saying, free dofollow backlinks and boom, you get a ton of traffic, comments, and everyone gets something out of the transaction.

Wordpress plugins like Askimet help so much it isn’t even funny… but spam is still very annoying.

Akismet can also be configured to catch certain keywords. Poker, credit cards, insurance and casino appear to be amongst the top key words spammers are using.

There is a gentleman, I think his name is gunter who wrote another plugin that works along with Akismet and it catches a few that even Akismet misses.

I don’t see the problem of people commenting on blogs as long as they are not spam. Spam can easily be removed and countered with the various Wordpress plugins available. Dofollow all the way!

when i start using dofollow or the nofollows, one of my big problem was spam comments…can you help me how can i minimized the unwanted comments.
